1. Data We Collect
We collect information you provide directly: your name, email address, organization details, and invoice data. We also collect usage data such as pages visited, features used, and session information to improve the service.
2. How We Use Data
We use your data to provide and improve the Bunya service, send transactional emails (invoice notifications, receipts), process billing via Stripe, and communicate important service updates. We do not sell your data to third parties.
3. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored in PostgreSQL databases with encryption at rest. Passwords are hashed using Argon2id and are never stored in plaintext. File uploads are stored in S3-compatible object storage (Cloudflare R2). We use TLS for all data in transit.
4. Third-Party Services
Bunya integrates with the following third-party services: Stripe for payment processing and Stripe Connect for client payments; Resend for transactional email delivery; Cloudflare R2 (S3-compatible) for file storage. Each provider has their own privacy policy governing data they receive.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Upon account closure, you may request deletion of your personal data. Invoice records may be retained for up to 7 years to comply with financial record-keeping regulations.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You may export your invoice data at any time from the dashboard. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@bunyafinance.com.
